Démarche artistique
Ma pratique explore la mémoire et la matérialité à travers la transformation d’archives photographiques anciennes datant des années 1920 à 1950. Je réinterprète ces images par le dessin, l’estampe et des techniques mixtes, en les intégrant à des supports chargés d’histoire tels que des cartes anciennes, des pages de livres et des papiers faits main.
En combinant ces éléments, je crée des territoires visuels hybrides où passé et présent se rencontrent. Mon processus met l’accent sur le geste — tracer, superposer et transformer les images — pour révéler leurs déplacements dans le temps.
Ancré à la fois dans l’archive et la matérialité, mon travail invite à pénétrer un espace intemporel où images, cultures et mémoires convergent.
Artist Statement
My work explores memory and material through the transformation of vintage photographic archives from the 1920s to the 1950s. I reinterpret these images through drawing, printmaking, and mixed media, placing them onto surfaces rich with history such as antique maps, book pages, and handmade papers.
By combining these elements, I create hybrid visual territories where past and present intersect. My process emphasizes gesture—tracing, layering, and altering images—to reveal how they shift over time.
Rooted in both archive and material, my work invites viewers into a timeless space where images, cultures, and memories converge.
